STARGATE validation campaign officially begins at EMITECH

The STARGATE validation campaign has officially started at EMITECH, marking a new phase in the development and validation of the project’s Galileo Timing Receiver.

The campaign is focused on assessing the Galileo Timing Receiver against the functional and performance requirements defined by EN 16605:2024, the European standard for GNSS-based timing receivers.

The validation activities bring together the STARGATE timing receiver and the dedicated test environment at EMITECH, allowing the consortium to assess the receiver under controlled and repeatable test conditions.

The campaign is supported by Skydel-based GNSS simulation capabilities developed and adapted within STARGATE. This simulation environment allows the team to reproduce controlled Galileo Timing Service scenarios, including specific signal-in-space and Timing Service Message conditions required for the validation activities.

This phase forms part of the wider validation process for the STARGATE Galileo Timing Receiver and will support the next stages of validation and system integration.

Further information on the validation campaign and its results will be shared once the relevant findings have been reviewed and confirmed for external dissemination.
